Giving preference to a sense of satisfaction that is apparent to the touch, a variety of finishes were examined
Q2: Specifically, what characteristics are found in the design of the GZ-X900?
The compact form of the GZ-X900 is the result of meeting requirements that contradict one another. We packed in all of the advanced technologies we could offer while pursuing a lighter, thinner and smaller size for improved portability. To achieve this, we sought out the limits of what was possible by working together with engineers in the developing process and repeatedly examining the layout of the inner structure down to the minute details.
To consolidate this into a design of greater simplicity and necessity, we have taken care to avoid making the form just "simple". We maintained the balance between edge lines and curves. We also worked on the esthetics of lens and control components as a real camera, and integrating condensation and toughness to the design.
In addition, to give preference to a sense of satisfaction that is apparent to the touch, we have given the GZ-X900 a high grade expression while examining a variety of finishes even within the range of black colors, such as leather-toned coatings and textured patterns.
