Focus point in designing GZ-X900

The result of a process that spanned two and a half years from the start of design to product release

Q4: Please tell us about the particular points you addressed in the design process for the GZ-X900.
The GZ-X900 took two and a half years from the start of design to product release. In that process, we worked together with engineers to devise the structure while manufacturing and considering various prototypes.
In addition, we have addressed the design of the GZ-X900 from the perspective of shaking up our past experience and values by always keeping in mind that while we are the creators, we are at the same time the users ourselves.
In this way, while working on the size, we improved the degree of perfection in the product up to the minute details in order to communicate the improved functionality as well as the reliability and toughness of the equipment with clarity. We also gave consideration to the structure of the surface and its internal configuration to avoid the impression of a cold box due to its simplicity, and combined it into a form based on where each part would be segmented.
We also spent time designing the size and shape of buttons that would allow for reliable operation despite the compact size, in order to achieve user-friendliness.
