Mrs Onishi, mother of an eleven-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl
When I go to my children's karate matches, I only take my video camera. Actually, I would like to take a digital camera too, but that would give me too many things to carry, and very often my husband can't come together with us, which leaves me in charge of the shooting. I use the video camera not just to preserve memories for the future, but also the kids can see themselves and spot weak points that they normally couldn't see. If I had a digital camera as well, I'd really like to take photos, too-like the look on their faces when they win a game.
It's fun watching the videos later and talking with the kids about what happened, but the image shakes fairly badly when I film the kids from a long way away using the zoom-sometimes it's almost unwatchable.
