Hello, it’s Sakura. The other day, I took a trip to Kusatsu Onsen in Gunma Prefecture. Kusatsu Onsen is one of the most famous hot spring resorts in Japan and boasts the country’s largest volume of naturally-produced hot water. While I was at it, I also took the opportunity to test the low light function on the GZ-E10, and to capture the onsen town at night!
The spring known as “Yubatake”, a gushing cascade of hot water located at the heart of the onsen town, is a particularly rare sight.
That night, I strolled around Yubatake and the elegant onsen town with the GZ-E10 in hand. Yubatake is lit up at night, which makes its atmosphere quite different from what it is during the day. When I shot this time, I used Intelligent Auto and left everything up to the camera, and even in the midst of the rising steam, it clearly captured the beautifully illuminated Yubatake, the power of the hot water falls, and the atmospheric streets. Take a look and enjoy your nighttime visit to Kusatsu Onsen!
